Say It Aint So: A Rihanna Sex tape?

A little late, i know; But Ohhh Boy! These two are something else!

Per MTV:

Umbrella star Rihanna is extremely worried over the potential release of a sex tape she made with boyfriend Chris Brown – reports Star Magazine.

According to the article Rihanna permitted Brown to film the ‘wild’ tape but, following a reported break in their relationship, is now concerned the tape may find its way online.

A source told the magazine; "Rihanna has no issues with her sexuality. But she'd be mortified if her friends and family found this out."

If the rumoured tape does surface it will surely comes as another blow to the Barbados Beauty who is reportedly still in a fragile state following Brown’s alleged assault on her in February.

Nike Spring/Summer 2009 Sneakers | New Releases

Yes, another shoe post! So theres gonna be a whole lot of solid kicks arriving in stores, including the Nike Tech Challenge Hybrid, Jordan 1 Premium Woven, the new RT1

So i think i have a fetish for Red high-top sneakers, lol. These are the the new Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi Strap, which are dropping real soon. The hi top sneaker comes with two straps and in a variety of colorways this season - red, navy, black, white and pink. The upper comes in a mix of canvas and patent leather. In the current sneaker climate, with hi top sneakers being very popular, this one might be well excepted. The only thing that bothers me is that they are extremely similar to Creative Recreation's. But so what right? Creative Rec's are on their way out, thing of the past lets try something new.

I guess "Wii" love shoes?

Dropping next month, April 2009, is the "Wii Pack” Blazer High Premium. I don't own a pair of Blazers, though I've always wanted to. But if i were to cop a pair these would most definitely be at the top of the list. The “Wii Pack” is a continuation from the “Playstation 3 Pack” that dropped last fall. They have a ON/OFF” button logo on the tongue, matrix type circuitry graphics in the eyelet panel, with a clear outsole.

Also in the "Wii Pack" are Nike AFII Premium:

Ryan Leslie: The definition of a real "Musician"!

So i was doing some surfing the net and came across this quote by Drake below. The first person that came to mind was Ryan Leslie. Ryan Leslie to me is one of the most talented and underrated musicians in the game today. Notice i said "Musicians," the majority of what you hear today is not a musical composition that is molded by a single individuals pure talent like Leslies'. Born in ATL and raised in many Bay Area cities such as Richmond, Oakland, San Francisco and Stockton, this musical genius graduated from Harvard at the age of 19. He is responsible for the hit we all love to crank up and dance to, which is Bad Boy Records artist Cassie's single "Me & U." Below I've posted some videos of Ryan at work. Its inspiring to watch someone with such talent and passion create original musical pieces like such. I can honestly say if Ryan Leslie continues to make music the way he does and people acknowledge his efforts, he will get a Grammy. Musical talent like this is in you, you either have or you don't; your born with this. I felt i had to give credit where credit is due. People don't appreciate his music for what its worth, you can see his heart in his music. I just feel he is underrated and not given the proper credit, so I'm doing so now.

"What people may not understand is that in this industry of hip hop you are either a musician or a product. A product is someone that is boxed in due to the fact that they were created to generate money using a formula that they cannot stray from. A musician is someone who is unafraid to explore and challenge themselves knowing that it has the possibility of being heard by the entire world in a matter of hours. I consider myself a musician and my thoughts and words are my only instruments" -Drake

How to use a Blow -Up Doll the right way?

Hmmmm, not sure about this. A little over the top, but funny nonetheless.

Beast Mode!!!

Marshawn "Beastmode" Lynch. The North Oakland native and Oakland Tech star running back is back in the media, but not for good reasons. Though this incident and story is old, we still await to see how many games Lynch is going to be suspended, if any. The Pro Bowl runner and former California Bear star running back was arrested near Los Angeles on Feb. 11. In searching a parked car carrying Lynch, Culver City police found a 9mm semiautomatic handgun inside a backpack in the trunk. Police also found four marijuana cigarettes in the car, but no drug charges were filed. Lynch pleaded guilty to having a concealed firearm and was sentenced to 80 hours community service and three years' probation.

I only post this because Lynch is my favorite player in the league, hands down. I can unbiasedly say he is underrated and overlooked. I know Lynch on a personal level growing up with his cousin and i know what kind of person Lynch is. The fans and media have portrayed this kind hearted humble kid a gold grill wearing, dread head thug, which is not the case. Seeing that I've lived in Oakland and went to high school in Oakland, i know the dangers of Oakland!, as well as all the other thousands that reside in the Bay Area. Others on the outside don't understand what he's come from and gone through, so for them to pass judgment on him is unfair in my opinion. Lynch is an athlete i look up to, he's a testament to the fact that inner city kids can really make it if you give it your all. I also respect the fact that he hasn't forgotten his roots and where he came from. Marshawn is always holding it down for Oakland, throwing it up in many of his photos. He even has "Da Town" tattooed on his chest as you can see in his recent mug shot above( I really didn't want to post that). I'm just hoping he can get his act together and stay out of the media for bad reasons, because i know he's a better person than that. Now lets see Lynch, T.O. and the Bills get to the SB!

Big Up to Dr. Michael Eric Dyson!!

Man i feel this brotha here is way over due for his props and recognition. Despite our political negligence I think its important for our African-American youth to know who this man is and what he does. Reverend Dr. Michael Eric Dyson is an renowned scholar, American academic, a 16 book author, and radio host while he is also a University Sociology professor at Georgetown University, which is the highest professor position at Georgetown. Dyson also received his Ph.D. in religion from Princeton University. Many might be familiar with Dr. Dyson as he is a frequent guest on shows such as National Public Radio, CNN, and HBO's Real Time with Bill Maher.
"Dyson is best known for his commentary on American culture, particularly as it pertains to African Americans. Dyson uses the terms "Afristocracy" and "Ghettocracy" to describe a bifurcation in American black society. He is also a leading scholar on hip-hop music and the culture that surrounds it, as well as its roots in African and African-American cultures and influence on American popular culture. As for his political and social views, Dyson writes and speaks from a strongly liberal viewpoint."

Personally I'm a big fan of his and i admire his intelligence.I don't think I've heard any black man speak as intelligently as this man. I enjoy seeing him go on CNN and outsmart or "Punk" everybody in interviews. I'm sure you all have also seen his piece on the CNN special "Black in America," which showed Dyson -the author, scholar, professor, and his imprisoned brother, serving a life sentence in prison. "One may teach, as I did for years, at Penn. The other, like my brother, could be locked away in the pen," Dyson said about his brother.

"The temptation is to believe that individual choice alone accounts for such differences in destiny. Successful black family members did their work and played by the rules; suffering family members ran afoul of the law and were justly locked away."

This shows that life is what you make it. Dyson and his brother come exactly from the same place, same house, faced with the same opportunities. But as you see, everyday you make decisions that can change your life forever. One brother is now behind bars for the rest of his life while the other is arguable one of the smartest black men alive, in my opinion. This is just an inspirational story for me and shouldn't go unnoticed.

Not so "Pumped" up!!

The Reebok Pump has been a top seller in Reebok’s line-up since it dropped back in 1989. Now Reebok is set to release their "Reebok Stars Pack & Heroes Pack" on April 1st. I'm a big fan of Pumps, i take pride in my pumps but Reebok failed to impress me on these. Basically the color scheme is poorly designed and doesn't look good at all. If you like them make sure you get these before the 4Th of July but I think I'll pass on these joints and stick with my Omni Lite White/Orange editions:

Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid!

These highly anticipated kicks, the Nike Air Tech Challenge Hybrid (Left), have finally been released. And i must say that there pretty damn fly if you ask me. They come with a white base, green details on the side-panels and a crazy multicolored graphic on the heel. If your going for that old school retro feel, cop these joints cause there hot.

No so, "Un-Common"??

Looks like a lot of rappers are making that crossover to fashion. Hot hip-hop lyricist Common, has teamed up with Microsoft to create a line of shirts called SOFTWEAR. Right now there are four shirts available and another four dropping later this Spring. Obviously his transition from music to fashion isn't as drastic as say, Andre 3000 or Kanye West, but its a start.

Charles Hamilton

Ever since that "Brooklyn Girl" joint i been feeling this cat. This latest free album/mixtape he dropped called "The Pink Lavalamp" is a solid piece of work. If I'm not mistaking he produced the whole album himself. The beats are hot but he needs to switch his beat patterns up because a lot of them sound similar to Brooklyn Girl, he also needs to stop using that same crash in so many songs. But other than that he's definitely musically gifted, his concepts, lyrics, and delivery are all on point. My favorite record of this new album is "Come Back To You," hot track! But he better try and steer clear of Lupe, sounds a bit similar. Overall CH is a solid artist, he's still up and coming and proving himself, but I'm feeling his music.

Charles Hamilton- Come Back To You:

Kanye Making Moves!!

It really doesn't stop for Kanye West. West, the fresh on the scene designer is reportedly going to be releasing his own line of denim jeans. He currently has lines with Nike and Louis Vuitton and is planning to drop his line of denim in the coming months. Not only that, he's also going to be featured on the hit cartoon series Family Guy. He will be playing the voice of a character named MC Kenny West. I see Kanye is branching off into other things, possibly putting music on the back burner... you decide?

Not so "Fresh" anymore!!!

Yes that is not a typo, Fresh, the sneaker boutique located in Berkeley that i frequently cop my kicks from is closing shop. They have been offering fashionable sneakers with a unique style for a little over three years now in the heart of B-Town. We'll look on the bright side, that means a SALE for all you ballers on a budget. They will be holding a sale this week until their last day which is Friday, March 27th and everything must go! I guess we all have to find another fashionable shoe shop?

Info Here:

The Dream or Nightmare???

Personally I'm not a big dream fan but i do like a few of his songs. The Dream to me really isn't a "singer", as you can see in the video below, vocally he isn't that talented without the help of some misleading plug-ins and his handy engineers. But that's not to take away from his ability to write a song, because he's had plenty of singles on the radio. I haven't really sat down and listened to the album all the way through yet but i skipped through and its seems to me he almost sounds the same in every song. But i do like a record called "Sweat It Out" from his album, even though it sounds just like R.Kelly wrote it and delivered it, maybe that's why i like it. From what I've heard so far I'd give it a "C" grade at best. I might reconsider after i really listen to it.

The Dream R&B Freestyle:

Vocally he's just strictly limited to that same tone and pitch he has in every song. I think he sounds horrible in this video. His melodies are at time strong but lack any kind of vibrato or deep harmonization due to his range.

Nike Air Yeezy!!! Droppin' Like Their Hot! NEW SCHOOL OF COMFORT

So we all know Kanye has a "Passion for Fashion." In fact i heard, not a fact, he's stepping away from music to take a stab at fashion. Nike and Kanye West link up here to present the highly anticipated Nike Air Yeezy sneaker in Spring 2009, and i must say these black and green pair (Above), dont look too bad. We've all been waiting and these puppies are supposed to be dropping any day now. I might just cop a pair of these!!

"Hi haters, He's back off hiatus"

Hmmmm, so i guess the Drake bandwagon is filling up right? I'd say so, not to long ago you'd ask about Drake (Aubrey Graham) and people would reply, "Drake Who?" Despite the new wave of recent fans and exposure, his talent is evident. From his first "Room For Improvement" mixtape to his recently released third mixtape,"So Far Gone", the kid is HOT! I havent known about Drake for too long but its been way before this Bandwagon filled up. The first ever Drake record i heard was his remake of Goapele's "Closer," which is actually a fairly old track, along with the majority of the other joints on his latest mixtape "So Far Gone". But regardless if your a new fan or old, it doesnt really matter cause Drake is whats hot right now. He's feautered on Young Money's new single "Every Girl" along with a few other YM artist. Drake IS NOT SIGNED to Young Money as many have been saying. In all honesty i hope he doesnt sign to Young Money. With Lil' Waynes demanding career, Drake's talent would just but put on the shelf. We'll see what happens with Drizzy!

Drakes Page:(www.myspace.com/thisisdrake)or (Thisisdrake.com)
Drizzy "Drake" Rogers aka Aubrey Graham is currently signed to Interscope, not Young Money Entertainment. This is what Drake told AllHipHop: “I’m not signed to Young Money but I’m definitely Young Money affiliated. Like I said, me and Wayne do a lot of work together and Wayne is going to be executive producing my album.”

Young Moula Baby! "Every Girl" Video Coming Soon!!!!

This is a "hot" record right now getting ridiculous spins all over. Its supposed to be the fist single off the Young Money Album. Lil Wayne Feat. Drake, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda & Mack Maine. I've always been a fan of Millz since he battled E. Ness on Making the Band a couples years back. I don't have to say much about Drake, he'll get his own post later lol. But I'm diggin' the track, even though the industry is over saturated with Autotune now it works for this track, so here's the download link below if you don't have it:

You Aint Bout It, Bout It...Meow!!!
