Beast Mode!!!
Marshawn "Beastmode" Lynch. The North Oakland native and Oakland Tech star running back is back in the media, but not for good reasons. Though this incident and story is old, we still await to see how many games Lynch is going to be suspended, if any. The Pro Bowl runner and former California Bear star running back was arrested near Los Angeles on Feb. 11. In searching a parked car carrying Lynch, Culver City police found a 9mm semiautomatic handgun inside a backpack in the trunk. Police also found four marijuana cigarettes in the car, but no drug charges were filed. Lynch pleaded guilty to having a concealed firearm and was sentenced to 80 hours community service and three years' probation.
I only post this because Lynch is my favorite player in the league, hands down. I can unbiasedly say he is underrated and overlooked. I know Lynch on a personal level growing up with his cousin and i know what kind of person Lynch is. The fans and media have portrayed this kind hearted humble kid a gold grill wearing, dread head thug, which is not the case. Seeing that I've lived in Oakland and went to high school in Oakland, i know the dangers of Oakland!, as well as all the other thousands that reside in the Bay Area. Others on the outside don't understand what he's come from and gone through, so for them to pass judgment on him is unfair in my opinion. Lynch is an athlete i look up to, he's a testament to the fact that inner city kids can really make it if you give it your all. I also respect the fact that he hasn't forgotten his roots and where he came from. Marshawn is always holding it down for Oakland, throwing it up in many of his photos. He even has "Da Town" tattooed on his chest as you can see in his recent mug shot above( I really didn't want to post that). I'm just hoping he can get his act together and stay out of the media for bad reasons, because i know he's a better person than that. Now lets see Lynch, T.O. and the Bills get to the SB!
